Two stages of the Colwyn Bay Town Centre refurbishment scheme are now complete
The
third stage, Station Road, will commence in January 2009 and includes
new paving, street furniture, improved lighting and trees. Once
complete vehicular access on Station Road will be restricted to
permitted times with ‘Rise and Fall’ bollards in place to control
traffic. This will give pedestrians peace of mind to stroll Station
Road at their leisure. The work is scheduled to take 20 weeks.
The £1.5m Streetscape development is an exciting plan where, over 2 years, three distinct phases of work will transform the town centre.
The scheme received nearly £1.25m from the Welsh Assembly Government.
