Sea View Road Week 23
8th October 2009
Weekly Report - Week 23
Week Ending 20th June 2008
The drop crossings were completed on Bay View Road and the Bay View Road/Sea View Road junction. All the bollards have now been constructed in situ on the entire site. The issue of standard keys is being concluded by the contractor.
The backfilling of the top soil for the large planter has been completed and the Parks department has been contacted in order to fill with bedding plants. The cast iron planters and benches are still some weeks away from being on site. The contractor had ordered seats instead of benches. The twinning sign has been erected upon the face of the Bay View Centre.
The flagging has been completed. There are areas that require snagging and the grouting in areas will need to be re-visited.
Snagging has commenced on most of the site with the contractor having been instructed as to what is required. The main issue is the condition of the flags and ACO channel following the works. The entire site will require a heavy clean in order to achieve the standard of finish that is expected. This is the responsibility of the contractor. The majority of gulleys require raising to level with the finished surface and several have been completed. The hooks for the market stalls will be cored in next week along with the re-instatement of the private de-marcation studs depicting the line between CCBC land and private frontages.
There will be a small compound left on site next week whilst the snagging is completed. The majority of the site is now open to the public.
