Colwyn Bay Streetscape Improvements – Greenfield Road
Week 8 – Phase 3 & 4 Works - week beginning 29th October 2007
Phase 2 The tree grille is now in place, the paving and granite sett surround is also completed.
Phase 4 The paving is almost completed along this phase – the contractor is currently waiting for electrical connections to be completed before the final few metres of paving can be laid.
All paving, setts and crossing points are now pointed along phase 4.
The vehicle access to residential properties (towards scheme extent of Phase 4) has been completed and tidied off with new tarmac strip.
Phase 3 Excavations were started on phase 3 at the beginning of the week.
The new granite kerbline and back edging kerbs have been installed along the entire length of phase 3.
The granite setts have been laid along the kerb line and the paving has been started – working back from the scheme extent on Greenfield Road towards the shopping centre – approximately one third of the way round.
The contractor is still approximately three weeks behind schedule.
