Colwyn Bay Streetscape Improvements – Greenfield Road

Week 3 – Phase 1 & 2 Works - week beginning 24th September 2007

The paving along Bay View and Greenfield Road (Phase 1 side) is now well underway; vehicle access points on Bay View Road have also been paved.

The small granite setts have also been laid along the perimeter of paved area.

The area immediately in front of the new stonewall is being paved once the wall is completed. The stonewall is approximately three quarters of its finished length although its not up to full height yet. The stonemasons have started work on separate wall between Curvy Girls and adjacent property no. 18.

Along Phase 2 the footway along Bay View Road and the shopping centre access road has now been surfaced with hard-core and compacted in readiness for paving.

The new sign posts (just the posts no signage) and associated ducting have been installed; the tree pit has been excavated and the specified root director installed and infilled with topsoil.

The new granite kerb line has been installed along the entire footway, additionally the back edging kerbs have been replaced with new concrete kerbs.

The contractor advises that at the end of week 3 the project is running approximately a week and a half behind schedule according to his program of work.
