Colwyn Bay Streetscape Improvements – Greenfield Road
Week 2 – Phase 1 & 2 Works - Week beginning 17th September 2007
The contractor is approximately 1 day behind on the stone walling and paving footway linking Greenfield and Bay View Road- this is due to the heavy rain today and showers yesterday.
Phase 2 works along Bay View Road and into the shopping mall access are currently on program.
Commencement of works along Greenfield Road in the vicinity of Greenfield Garage (Phase 4) is potentially a week behind from the program supplied by the contractor.
The planter outside the property known as Curvy Girls has been completely removed and work has started on building a new double faced stone wall.
The footway linking Greenfield and Bay View Road has been excavated in readiness for aggregates and then paving next week. The kerb edgings along the length of this footway have been removed and replaced with granite kerb edgings.
Additionally, the footway in front of vehicle accesses off Bay View Road (Curvy Girls & adjacent property) have now got a base layer of tarmac – in preparation for paving.
Phase 2 -The foot way along Bay View Road into the access for the shopping centre has been excavated from the compound area down. The entire length of kerbs has been excavated from this area although kerb laying has been delayed by the rain.
The gully on the access road has been moved to correspond with the new kerb line.
