Unlike many other towns in the UK, Colwyn Bay's high street is alive and thriving.
Take
a shopping trip to Colwyn Bay to discover your old favorites and a few
surprises. Pick up a gift for someone else or treat yourself!
As
well as your well known high street stores, many of our excellent
independent stores are family-run and sell jewellery, rare books,
furniture, flowers, upholstery, cameras, hand-built guitars and
paint-your-own ceramics.
After a hard afternoon’s retail therapy, there are no shortage of places to put your shopping bags down and grab a bite to eat.
We
also boast one of the region’s largest indoor shopping malls, complete
with handy free parking so there’s never been a better excuse to go
shopping.
Bay markets
People, bargains, atmosphere -
that’s what it’s all about as Colwyn Bay’s thriving centre bustles with
activity every Tuesday and Saturday where locals and visitors alike
meander along the street and enjoy the experience of the largest
traditional street market in North Wales.
There is host of exciting products including, clothes, shoes, plants, tools, chocolates, jewellery and bags, to mention but a few.
Come along and grab yourself a bargain.
We’re also famous for our home grown food in North Wales - it’s our big green hills and temperate climate, you see. Buying food direct from the producer is a great way to support our local economy and low food miles means it’s better for the environment too and best of all you can taste food as it should be.
Visit our Farmers’ Market on Thursday’s
from 9am to 1pm at the Bay View Shopping Centre car park where you can
purchase local vegetables, cheese, honey and preserves and, of course,
delicious Welsh meat.
Accessibility
Restricted mobility shouldn’t mean restricted enjoyment. Colwyn Bay’s Shopmobility offers a hire service for wheelchairs and motorised scooter to help you get around and see the best of the bay.
